<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem associated with tailing of a contour part seen in displaying a moving picture resulting from difference in energy of light irradiating a liquid crystal panel among respective colors, which sometimes causes difference in temperature among three pieces of the liquid crystal panels 17 and the difference in temperature causes difference in response speed of liquid crystal molecules in a three plate type liquid crystal projector. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature of at least one out of the three pieces of the liquid crystal panels 17, the surrounding temperature of at least one out of the three pieces of the liquid crystal panels 17, or the temperature of a specified place on the liquid crystal projector is detected. In the case the detected temperature reaches a predetermined value, the problem is solved by varying correction values to be added to image signals supplied to the three pieces of the liquid crystal panels 17, respectively, in accordance with the temperature for the respective three pieces of the liquid crystal panels 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
