<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image server capable of preventing an image from being used illegally, and to provide a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A conversion processing (encryption processing such as rearrangement or re-encoding of code data, for example,) using a predetermined conversion program is performed upon image information 41 which becomes a transmission target, extracted by receiving an image acquisition request signal from an image client 6 which utilizes the image information 41 stored in an image server 3 so as to generate the image information into new image information 42, and the image information 42 after the conversion processing is sent to the image client 6 of a request source together with the conversion program.
