PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high grade image in a multi-pass recording method using a processing liquid active on an ink. SOLUTION: A random mask is used for thinning an image of each color. A mask for 1 pass having a 1,024 bit size in the main scanning direction and a 8 bit size in the sub scanning direction, comprises an A mask, a B mask, a C mask and a D mask corresponding with 1 pass to 4 pass. By having the same starting position for reading the mask for each color with the random mask, the colors can be thinned in the same manner. Moreover, by having different starting positions for reading the mask for each color, the colors cannot be thinned synchronously while using the same random mask. |
