PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to effectively utilize a feature of an internal combustion engine, having an electromagnetically-driven valve, to the utmost. SOLUTION: Opening closing operation of the electromagnetically-driven valves 2a and 2b of an engine 1 is controlled by an electromagnetically-drive valve control device 3. An engine output shaft is connected to a generator 4, and an engine output is converted to a power, which is stored at a battery 5. By driving a motor 6 by the power of the battery 5, a drive force is exerted on vehicle drive wheels 9. A motor control device 7 controls the output of a motor according to the demand output of a driver. Since an engine is run in the specified number of revolutions region regardless of a demand output by a driver, reliability and durability of the electromagnetically-driven valve are improved. This constitution effectively utilizes a feature of the electromagnetically-driven valve, such as the decrease of a valve drive loss, to the utmost without arising any problem on reliability and durability. |
