PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a solid material rapidly soluble in an oral cavity, easily administrable by the aged or children with low swallowing ability and readily administrable even by an adult without using water such as a tablet solid and to provide a method for producing the solid material. SOLUTION: This solid material rapidly soluble in an oral cavity contains erythritol, has a structure of a porous interior and a dense and hard surface and further properties of dissolving or disintegrating in the oral cavity in a short time. The solid material readily soluble in the oral cavity is produced by preparing and kneading a composition containing the erythritol, a medicine, a sweetener or the like so as to contain a suitable water content, preferably water in an amount of preferably 5-20% based on the solid content of the composition together, then molding the resultant composition and vacuum-drying the molded product. The solid material obtained by the method has 3-4 kg hardness in the case of a tablet and is dissolved or disintegrated in a time of about 10 sec in the oral cavity. |
