PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery superior in input characteristic and long life.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a wound electrode group arranged by winding a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator; an electrolyte; and a battery container which contains the wound electrode group and the electrolyte. The positive electrode has: a current collector; and a positive electrode mixture applied to each face of the current collector. The positive electrode mixture includes a lamellar type lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt complex oxide as a positive electrode active material. The amount of the positive electrode mixture applied to each face of the positive electrode mixture is 110-170 g/m. The density of the positive electrode mixture is 2.5-2.8 g/cm. The negative electrode has: a current collector; and a negative electrode mixture applied to each face of the current collector. The negative electrode mixture includes amorphous carbon as a negative electrode active material. The electrolyte includes, as nonaqueous solvent, a cyclic carbonate, a chain carbonate, a cyclic sulfonic acid ester, and a vinylene carbonate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
