PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a rotary electric machine capable of preventing an insulation coat from being crushed by interference in a turn part that forms a coil end part of a stator coil.SOLUTION: A stator 20 comprises: a stator core 30 including a plurality of slots 31; and stator coils 40 accommodated in the slots 31 and formed from phase coils of three phases are wound around the stator core 30. The phase coil includes: a slot accommodation part 51C of which the cross-sectional shape is formed from a rectangular flat wire and which is accommodated in the slot 31; and turn parts 52A and 52B connecting the slot accommodation parts 51C accommodated in the different slots 31 in a circumferential direction with each other outside of the slots 31. The turn parts 52A and 52B include top parts 53A and 53B extending in the circumferential direction in a portion most separated from an axial end face 30a of the stator core 30. Over all the circumferential area of the stator 20, the top parts 53A and 53B of the turn parts 52A and 52B neighboring to each other in the circumferential direction are overlapped with each other in an axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
