The invention relates to an enzyme-based pipe cleaning composition with which usual commercial and domestic drains can be treated in order to prevent or eliminate blockages. The composition essentially contains: a. an enzyme mixture for breaking down the organic blocking material, b. enzyme-tolerant surfactants, c. complexing agents for enzyme-toxic heavy metals, d. a buffer salt mixture, e. sodium chloride is used as filler. The product is to be active overnight in the description of use.
