PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite apparatus provided with a facsimile function capable of attaining broadcast-transmission and other functions, the other functions of which can be utilized during the broadcasting, and which can easily be realized from an existing apparatus. SOLUTION: The composite apparatus provided with a plurality of functions including the function as a facsimile machine capable of at least carrying out broadcast transmission by using scan data resulting from reading an original as image information, storing transmission data resulting from encoding the scan data at the broadcasting, converting a resolution of the transmission data into a resolution in response to conditions of each transmission destination, and transmitting the resulting data to each transmission destination, includes: a first resolution conversion means 11 for converting the resolution of the scan data; and a second resolution conversion means 18 separately provided from the first resolution conversion means and carrying out the resolution conversion in response to the conditions of each transmission destination at the broadcasting.
