<p>A transmitter and a transmission method are provided to improve precision of channel estimation at a reception side of a data signal and a demodulation capability as well as to improve frequency usage efficiency. A DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) unit(12) converts a data signal of a time domain into a data signal of a frequency domain of a fixed number. A sub-carrier mapping unit(14) allocates the data signal of a frequency domain obtained by the DFT unit(12) to one of sub-carriers over the fixed number which have been allocated to a certain transmission frequency band. A controller(18) controls the sub-carrier mapping unit(14) to allocate other signals than the data signal to a sub-carrier of an extra band to which the data signal has not been allocated by the sub-carrier mapping unit.</p> |
