PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a steamed potato material suitable for thermally cooking a potato, a sweet potato, etc., in a microwave oven and preparing the steamed potato. SOLUTION: This steamed potato material is obtained by housing a raw potato with skin in a closed inner bag 13 made of a sheet of paper good in air permeability and then similarly housing the inner bag 13 stuffed with the raw potato in an outer bag 14 made of a sheet of paper good in air permeability. In this case, the raw potato with the skin stuffed in the inner bag 13 is wrapped with a wrapping paper 12 undergoing far infrared ray treatment. The air permeability of the sheets of paper constituting the inner bag 13 and the outer bag 14 is 120-170 sec/100 cc/m<2> . |
