PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball seat for a ball joint which is superior in sliding property and durability, and to provide a ball joint having the same.SOLUTION: The ball seat for a ball joint comprises a semi-aromatic polyamide (A) and an elastomer (B). The elastomer (B) is at least one kind selected from an α-olefin copolymer, an (ethylene and/or propylene)/(α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid ester) copolymer, an ionomer, an aromatic vinyl compound/conjugated diene compound-based block copolymer, or a polymer obtained by modifying the above with an unsaturated compound having a carboxyl group and/or an acid anhydride group. When the total amount of the semi-aromatic polyamide (a) and the elastomer (B) is 100 mass%, the content of the semi-aromatic polyamide (a) is 80-99 mass%, and the content of the elastomer (B) is 1-20 mass%.
