发明名称 REINFORCING METHOD OF CONNECTED PART OF OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To reinforce the connected part of an optical part in a simple way without using a heater, by coating the melt-stuck and connected part of the optical fiber with a hot-melt tube and a heat shrinkable tube into which an electric resistance heat generator is buried and then applying the electric conduction to melt and shrink both tubes. CONSTITUTION:A tube 4 made of an adhesive and hot-melt material is coated over the core wire 3 of an optical fiber and the plastic coated layers 2 at both ends of the connected part. Then a tube 6 having the heat shrinkable properties and an electric resistance heat generators 5 buried in the axial direction and equidistantly in the circumference direction is coated over the tube 4. When the electric conduction is applied to the generator 5 for heating, the tube 6 shrinks in the diameter direction. At this same time, the inside tube 4 is also heated and melted. Thus the wire 3, the layer 2 and each reinforcing member can be unified.
