PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-button device for operation, placed within reach of an operator and making it possible to prevent a short-circuit operation mechanism part from being operated carelessly. SOLUTION: In a push-button device for operation equipped with a box- shaped case 1, switches 3a to 3e disposed in the case 1 in an externally operable manner and used for driving a load, and a short-circuit operation mechanism part 8 for forcibly driving the load in the event of anomaly that the load is not driven though the switches 3a to 3e are operated, a through-hole 1d is provided in the case 1 and the short-circuit operation mechanism part 8 is disposed in the case 1 with an operation surface of the short-circuit operation mechanism part 8 facing to the through-hole 1.
