PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively carry out production by enabling a common use of a controller for air conditioners having similar constructions. SOLUTION: In a controller of air conditioners, a refrigerant compressor 1 and indoor and outdoor blower fans 3, 4 are controlled by a microcomputer 5, the refrigerant compressor 1 is operated by an inverter circuit 6 which inverts a supplied alternating current power source to a direct current and generates a new output power source of an arbitrary frequency, an electrically erasable and writing non-volatile memory 7 is mounted in the microcomputer 5 as an external memory, and the inverter circuit 6 controls the refrigerant compressor 1 with variable frequency signals received from the microcomputer 5 in accordance with written data of the non-volatile memory 7. A program and fundamental control data for the inverter circuit 6 are written in a ROM 5a installed in the microcomputer 5 and data conforming means 9 which determines the presence or non-presence of the written data from the non-volatile memory 7 is incorporated in the microcomputer 5. When data detection means 9 detects the data abnormality, the microcomputer 5 controls the frequency of the inverter circuit 6 based on the base data written in the ROM 5a. |
