PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type endoscope capable of achieving reduction in size and weight.SOLUTION: A capsule type endoscope according to the present invention is introduced into a subject in which a liquid is held, comprising a reducing and biocompatible substance and is used in the liquid within the subject while floating in the liquid. The capsule type endoscope comprises: a capsule type enclosure for holding a functional member therein; and power supply units mounted to the capsule type enclosure for supplying power to the functional member as power supply object. The power supply unit includes: an anode where any part of surface constitutes part of an outside surface of the capsule type enclosure; a cathode provided to an inside of the capsule type enclosure; and an ion exchange membrane interposed between the anode and the cathode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
