System bubbles air through the water to transport heat from the lower parts of the surface and purifying it by adding O3 or H2O2. A ship's propeller is surrounded by a perforated cylinder, which itself is surrounded by an unperforated cylinder to form a chamber into which air is pumped. The water suction end is covered with a wire mesh and the discharge end has a downwardly deflected, adjustable aperture to direct the water and bubbles flow. For nuclear power plants, river water is conducted through concentre channels containing a finned tube at the bottom and perforated, pressurised air tubes discharging into the water to produce bubbles. This cools the water before it is returned to the river. For fresh water CO2 is added to the air to activate the adjacent land. Near the sea aluminium roofs (or polyester roofs with metal cooling) over the channels have star-shaped cooling ribs on the top with radial air turbines driven by electric motors and axial suction turbines to supply them. Reflected UV radiation is used to enrich drinking water combined with O3 or H2O2 to render chlorination unnecessary.
|
