PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller which can emit the charges in an electrolytic capacitor efficiently without driving the electric car. SOLUTION: In this equipment, an electrolytic capacitor 18 for smoothing the DC power is parallelly connected to a battery 10 and a PSM controller 20 controls the on/off states of a plurality of switching elements of an inverter 14 based on a torque command T, detected values by a magnetic pole position detector 24 and an encoder 26, and the motor current when a key switch is in an on-state. When the PSM controller is stopped at the time of the off-state of the key switch, the gate of the inverter is turned off and a main contactor 12 is turned off. When discharging the charge of the electrolytic capacitor, the charge is discharged to windings of a permanent magnet-type synchronous motor 16 by the AC current which is asynchronous with a phase of induced voltage detected by the magnetic pole position detector and is in a free-run state and has such a magnitude as not to drive an electric car which is constant- current-controlled and the discharged charge is consumed by the inpedances of the windings. |
