PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for making a plate of a plate material being capable of meeting digital image data and printing a large number of prints of clear images inexpensively and at a high speed. SOLUTION: The equipment for plate making has an image forming means which forms an image directly on the plate material by an ink jet image drawing device 2 which makes oil-based ink discharged from a discharge head 22 on the basis of signals of image data and with an electrostatic field used, and an image fixing means which fixes the image formed by the image forming means, so as to obtain a printing plate. In the equipment, ink stirring means 70 and 71 for preventing agglomeration and/or sedimentation of the oil-based ink in the course of circulation thereof are provided in the passage of the ink. |
