FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable in surgery of duodenal ulcers (DUs) for choosing an approach to surgical management. The method involves assessing the health of gastroduodenal complex, including by means of intragastric pH-metry. The latter implies determining acid production intensity in a body of stomach as shown by average pH values, including by means of an alkali test, with evaluating an alkalising function of an antrum, as well as measuring acid production in response to atropine 60 min after it has been introduced. The received findings are used to choose the approach to surgical management of duodenal ulcer. A radical duodenoplasty, also combined with selective proximal vagotomy (SPV) or medial gastrectomy, or Bilroth-2 or Roux gastrectomy are preferred.EFFECT: method provides choosing the most effective method of surgical management of duodenal ulcer, with reducing the number of recurrences and complications and cutting treatment expense.5 ex |
