PURPOSE:To achieve the compact configuration and the long life of a circuit using a semiconductor switch in a switching circuit, which controls the operation of an ultrasonic probe for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic waves are transmitted and received with an ultrasonic probe in measurement of flow rates, detection of defects of material under test, medical diagnosis for organism and the like using the ultrasonic waves. A semiconductor switch 5, which is connected in series with a diode 8, is provided between a transceiver 12 and the ultrasonic probe. A high-voltage control signal, which controls the switching actions of conduction or cutoff of the diode 8, is applied to the connecting position. When the semiconductor switch 5 is controlled with the signal, which is synchronized with the control signal, the interference of the high-control voltage associated with the control of the diode 8 can be blocked by the operation of the semiconductor switch 5. Therefore, it is not necessary to use a capacitor, which has the large size, high withstand pressure and large capacitance value. This circuit has the compact configuration and the long life, and the attitude in use can be freely set. Therefore, this circuit can be applied in portable equipment. |
