PURPOSE:To obtain the piezoelectric oscillation unit which facilitates the setting of a cancel line and has excellent resonance characteristics by coupling a couple of piezoelectric oscillation elements, which perform torsional vibration, through a torsion part by torsional vibration axis lines respectively. CONSTITUTION:The torsional vibration elements 1 and 2 are composed of piezoelectric elements which are piezoelectrically driven to perform circular vibration in mutually opposite direction about an axis X, and both the torsional vibration elements 1 and 2 are coupled with each other by the torsional member 3 on the respective torsional vibration axes X to form a torsional vibration unit 4. The torsion member 3 couples both the torsional vibration elements 1 and 2 with each other so that the vibration axes X match each other (forming a straight line). The torsional member 3 twists so that the vibration elements 1 and 2 vibrate with the highest efficiency when the vibration elements 1 and 2 are driven at the resonance frequency of the oscillation unit 4. The torsion function of the torsion part 3 effectively causes the torsional vibration of each piezoelectric oscillation element, so the vibration cancel line can easily be set to the torsional part 3. |
