(A) Equipment, for hot repair of the bottoms of industrial furnances or the like, has a cooled distribution device (1) for the refractory repair material, the device being moved over the furnace bottom (34) by a support framework (3) and being associated with a vibration mechanism (10). (B) Also claimed is a hot repair process using the equipment, in which the refractory repair material is fed through a slide valve-controlled opening into the cavity to be filled, is compacted by the vibration mechanism and is levelled by the base section of the distribution device as it advances. USE/ADVANTAGE - The equipment is used esp. to repair the bottoms of coke ovens. It provides continuous cavity filling, compaction and levelling of the oven bottom. |
