PURPOSE: A cut/insert body for forming a groove is provided to be proper to form a profile such as forming a side profile of a groove having a small angle and to previously cut in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION: A cut/insert body for forming a groove includes:a sank(2); a cutting head(3) consisting of an inward inclined upper face(11,12) forming a lower face, two facing faces(13,14) and a flank side(15,16,17) extended between the inward inclined upper face and two facing faces; a partition line between the upper face and the front flank(17) consisting of a main cutting edge(18) and a partition line between the upper face and the side flank forming a side cutting edge(19,20); the upper face having several grooves(21) on each side face of the central line(CL) of each insert substance forming a discontinuous side cutting edge(19,20); and two projections(24,25) provided on the upper area of the insert substance to be arranged on both sides to the central line as the projections are separated from each other on the front end. |
