<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flat flexible circuit of comparatively thin and short type. SOLUTION: The connector assembly 12 is provided for mutually connecting a first conductor 14 of a flat flexible circuit 16 to a plurality of second conductors 18, 76 and 82 for free detachment without using a conductive terminal. The connector assembly is provided with a male connector including comparatively robust male main members having an edge 22, around which, the flat flexible circuit 16 is wound so that the first conductor 14 of the flat flexible circuit 16 be headed to get away from the male main member. An adapter 36 includes a first receptacle 49 for accepting the male main members 24, 56 inserted first from the edge 22. Furthermore, second receptacles 52, 44 and 46 accept the second conductors 18, 76 and 82 at a position engaging with the first conductor 14 of the flat flexible circuit 16 at the edge 22 of the male main members 24, 56.</p> |
