A lamp apparatus having an air purification function is provided to prevent a thermal shock which can be applied to a high-voltage circuit of an anion generation unit by cutting off heat generated from a lamp, and to use an open space when absorbing or discharging an anion or air, thereby magnifying anion generation efficiency. An anion generation unit(30) consists of a long cathode electron gun member(31) covered with an insulator(33), and bipolar ring members(37) surrounding a portion of the cathode electron gun member(31). The cathode electron gun member(31) is electrically connected to a power supply unit within a body(10). When a high-voltage cathode bias is applied to the electron gun member(31) from the power supply unit while bipolar biases are applied to the bipolar ring members(37), the electron gun member(31) emits electrons from an end of the electron gun member(31). The emitted electrons collide with air to neutralize various harmful components. |
