PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a filter structure having a high lint capturing effect.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine of the embodiment includes: a water tub disposed in an outer case; a drum which is disposed in a lateral axis state in the water tub, and in which laundry is accommodated; a driving device for rotationally driving the drum in both normal and reverse directions; and a hollow baffle for agitating the laundry disposed in an inner peripheral surface part of the drum by extending in parallel with an axial direction of the drum. At the baffle, a mesh-like first filter is provided on an upper surface facing the central side of the drum, and a mesh-like second filter is provided on a side surface facing the circumferential direction of the drum.
