PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inconvenience that a discharged amount decreases or the like even if a head is rapidly pushed down by providing a liquid discharge pump with a descent limit mechanism for limiting relative descending of a vertically movable member for a large diameter cylinder to a small width. SOLUTION: A descent limit mechanism A comprises an inverted-skirt-like part 42 extending, which passes through a discharge valve hole 22 from a center on an upper face of a base 35 of a vertically movable member 7 to integrally expand above it and which brings an outer peripheral face into contact with and locks an upper end opening rim of the discharge valve hole 22 while a liquid in a large diameter pressurizing chamber can flow out to a discharge port 27 when the member 7 lowers toward a large diameter cylinder 5. The vertically movable member 7 is relatively lowered to the large diameter cylinder 5 to open a discharge valve 38 for discharging the liquid from the discharge port 27. At this time, the member 7 which has lowered brings an outer periphery of the inverted-skirt-like part 42 into contact with and locks the upper end opening rim of the discharge valve hole 22, thereby limiting further relative descent. |
