Vibration generator

The vibrator, especially for a road surface tamping machine, has an adjustment mechanism to set the relative rotary positions of the out-of-balance masses (511,521,531). It has at least one rotary vane swing motor (6) with a rotor shaft (61) and a stator housing (62) with a variable rotary position in relation to the rotor shaft. The stator housing has at least one covering closure, coated durably at least partially with a sliding alloy for the radial and axial positioning of the rotor shaft. At least one shaft seal is between the rotor shaft and the stator housing, with a support unit and hydraulic tensioning.
