PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, inexpensively produce radiant-intensity-thermometer elements as surface mounting resistors in high volume by utilizing their low electric resistances having excellent electrical and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the element, there are so bonded pressingly and continuously to each other strip materials (5) made of a resistance-material alloy and band-form materials made of Cu in one-end surfaces or both-end surfaces (6) of the longitudinal direction of the strip materials as to integrate them with each other as a united strip material. Then, the united strip material is subjected sequentially to the vertical cuttings and dividings to its longitudinal direction.
