PURPOSE:To project two TV signals on the same screen by reading stored video signals at a higher speed than a writing speed, inserting a TV signal having the time axis compressed into another TV signal from which only the part of the picture is removed, and switching audio signals. CONSTITUTION:A broadcast signal of a channel A selected by a tuner 2 is applied as a video signal P to a signal selecting circuit 13. Another broadcast signal of a channel selected through a tuner 6 is applied as a video signal VB to a control circuit 20. This circuit 20 samples the signal VB to store respective sampled values, and reads the stored signal twice as fast as the sampling to obtain a video signal having the time axis compressed to a half. This signal is sent as (q), R and (s) to the circuit 13 in every field and the circuit 13 switches those signals adequately and selectively. Thus, the compressed picture of the channel B is inserted into the picture of the channel A having a corresponding picture part removed, and audio signals are switched. |
