<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for exterminating wasps without directly applying an agent to wasps or wasp nests. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for exterminating wasps comprises the placement of a thermoplastic resin composition compounded with an ester compound expressed by formula (1) (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and R<SP>2</SP>is a methyl group, a 2,2-dichlorovinyl group, a 1-propenyl group or a 2-methyl-1-propenyl group) on a wasp nest, a place suitable for building a nest or near a feeding ground of wasps.
