PURPOSE:To attain power supply to an automatic metering notifying device or the like from a CATV network directly by branching a current from a tap-off at a branch section, controlling a switch section to be closed with a control section while receiving the branch current and supplying the branch current from the branch section to an input power supply of the automatic metering notifying device via the switch section. CONSTITUTION:A current from a tap-off is branched by a branch section 6, a control section 8 receives the branch current to apply close control to the switch section 7 and the branch current from the branch section 6 is fed to an input power supply section of an automatic metering notifying device 9 via the switch section 7. That is, a power passing function is added to a protector 4 of a subscriber's equipment to supply power to the automatic metering notifying device 9 or the like. Then the switch section 7 of the protector 4 is controlled by a polling device in a center 1 to apply polling to the automatic metering notifying device 9 similarly to the case of a conventional method. Thus, the power superimposed on a coaxial network is effectively utilized to operate the automatic metering notifying device 9. |
