The invention relates to a door providing protection against burglary and to its frame, in particular a door and its frame which are intended for the entry to an apartment or a house. The door consists of an inner face and an outer face which are glued respectively onto the inner face and the outer face of a sheet of armour plating (20) consisting of a layer of an abrasive material sandwiched between two layers of a material made up of glass and resin fabrics. Each face comprises a frame consisting of two uprights (1, 11, 2, 12) and at least two horizontal crosspieces (3, 13, 4, 14) which connect the uprights (1, 11, 2, 12) to each other, and at least one filling panel (6, 16, 7, 17) mounted between the uprights and the crosspieces. The panels (6, 16, 7, 17) are mounted on their corresponding frame by means of open recesses on their periphery, and a space communicating with the outside is provided between the panels (6, 16, 7, 17) and the sheet (20) constituting the armour plating. <IMAGE>
