Conversion of greenhouse gases into fuel or chemical intermediates
摘要
Greenhouse gas is converted into a fuel- or chemical intermediate(s). The gas is subjected to a silent electrical discharge, promoted by an alternating current source (7) using a dielectric (6). This produces electrically excited and/or ionised reactants which are then converted into at least one energy-storing fuel or mixture. (13, 13'). An energy-storing, reaction catalysing gas containing nitrogen is added to the greenhouse gas. Following a relaxation interval, this transfers energy to greenhouse gas reactant(s). The volume of catalyst gas is 0.1%-5% of the entire volume of gases undergoing conversion. Also claimed is a plant converting a greenhouse gas as described. An additional thermal reactor (14) may be included.
