PURPOSE: A method for controlling a shortening connection by a program channel of an internet television is provided to be connected to wanted connection site rapidly by operating an up/down button by allocating a registration menu with respect to a plurality of connection sites as a personal program channel method. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(2) receives channel selection data in accordance with an input of a program channel or a channel number from a control unit(30) and selects a corresponded broadcasting channel. An image IF unit(4) performs an intermediate frequency amplifying process of the television broadcasting signal selected and converted into an intermediate frequency signal. A mode switching unit(6) performs a switching for selectively passing a television broadcasting signal or an internet information signal. An image amplifying unit(8) amplifies a complex image signal or an image signal into an amplifying level capable of processing of image. An image signal processing unit(10) separates the complex image signal into a brightness signal and a color signal. An image output unit(12) is amplified by the processed RGB signal and displays an image on CRT screen. A modem(14) performs a modulation/demodulation of data. A data processor(20) performs a data process of received information and information to be transmitted. An interface unit(22) performs a signal interface operation for converting an image signal processed by the data processor(20) into a broadcasting image format. In addition, a function setting unit(24), a keyboard(26), a data memory(28), a control unit(30), a data memory unit(32) and an OSD signal processing unit(34) are provided.
