<p>PURPOSE: A modified wastewater treatment system is provided, which is characterized that the treatment system has advantages of high removal efficiency for organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus, odor removal, unnecessity of chlorine disinfection, reduction of sludge volume, and the good application of treated water. CONSTITUTION: A modified wastewater treatment system is characterized by comprising the following parts: a pre-aeration tank to promote denitrification equipped with and an aerator and a blower with a low oxygen-transfer rate and a strong mixing function; an aerobic tank operated with MLSS concentration of 5,000mg/L or more and a high oxygen-transfer rate to promote nitrification; a settling tank installed not only to separate solid and liquid but to denitrify; a sludge storage tank installed to culture sludge for humic matter; a thickener; and a distribution tank installed to distribute continuously sludge from the settling tank to the pre-aeration tank, the aeration tank, the sludge storage tank and the thickener. The pre-aeration tank can remove 50-90% of BOD.</p> |
