摘要 PURPOSE:To high efficiently remove nitrogen oxide NOx and sulfur oxide SOx contained in large volume of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Both a trigger electrode 34 surrounded by a dielectric material 32b having photocatalytic action and a main electrode 36 having a channel type semicircular cross section are provided in parallel in a plasma reactor. A mesh electrode 38 for corona preliminary ionization is provided in the main electrode 36 side of the trigger electrode 34. Photocatalytic layers 32a, 32c which are carried with a photocatalyst and have a platelike structure are provided so as to surround the electrodes 34, 36 in the inlet and outlet parts of exhaust gas. Therefore, NOx and SOx are fixed as ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulfate with high removal ratio by exciting action of plasma and action of the photocatalyst. Exhaust gas is harmlessly treated.
