PURPOSE:To handle many control modes, by providing a touching input device which changes the control modes for the image displayed on a display. CONSTITUTION:The touching input device having a vibration transmitting medium plate 12 is arranged in front of an image display surface 11 such as a CRT display. The touhing input device is constituted by arranging many converting parts 13, wherein acoustic prism 13a and piezoelectric tansducers 13b are stuck together, and driven by a driving circuit 14, to which a driving timing signal 15 is supplied. The outputs from the converting parts 13 are guided to a reflected wave detecting circuit 16. The coordinates of a touched position are detected from the detected timing of the reflected wave. The control device changes the mode to, e.g. a drive mode based on the detected signal and the stored program. When a road 28 on the map, on which one wants to run, is rubbed by the finger and the like, the running locus is displayed, therefore many control modes can be handled. |
