PURPOSE:To enhance heat-resistance and corrosion resistance by forming a honeycomb of planar aggregate of hollow columnar cells composed of a heat- resistant metal bonded with a solder material and covering the cell wall surface forming each of cells with a ceramic flame spray coating film. CONSTITUTION:A honeycomb 1 is formed using a thin plate composed of nickel, cobalt, iron, aluminum, titanium or other heat-resistant alloy being a heat- resistant metal as a base material. This honeycomb core is formed from a planar aggregate of hollow columnar cells 2 having a regular hexagon by a solder material such as silver or nickel solder. The cell wall surface 3 forming each of the cells 2 of the honeycomb core 1 is coated with a ceramic flame spray coating film 4, for example, composed of silicon carbide, silicon nitride, zirconia or alumina. The ceramic flame spray coating film 4 is formed by spraying molten ceramics by means of a flame spraying machine 5 but may be formed by preliminarily mixing a ceramics powder and a volatile solvent or an org. solvent and immersing the honeycomb 1 in the resulting mixture and subsequently drying or sintering the honeycomb core. |
