GAS RANGE WITH RICE COOKING FUNCTION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A gas range with a rice cooking function and a control method thereof are provided to control a cooking corresponding to a judged result to make rice with good taste, by judging manually set heating power based on the time of temperature elevation to a predetermined temperature before the temperature equilibrium state of a pot to be heated. CONSTITUTION: A gas range comprises a heater capable of a heating power setting mutually and is provided with a rice cooking function by heating a used pot by means of the heater. The gas range comprise a discriminating device(149) of the heating power of the heater set by mutually based on an elevation temperature time between temperatures before a temperature equilibrium state of a pot to be heated, or an elevation temperature during any of heating time before the temperature equilibrium state of the pot to be heated. A controller performs a rice cooking control according to the discriminated heating power by the discriminating device of the heating power.
