A sterile housing, for the cultivation of micro-organisms, has a container closed by a cover with a culture medium within the walls and base. The cover has a peripheral sealing zone with a fixed sealing cap at the cover sealing, to give the housing a hermetic seal for the culture medium held within it as long as the cover is in place. The sterile housing assembly, for the cultivation of micro-organisms, has a sealing zone with a reverse flat in relation to the container base. The flat is out of contact with the housing support surface, and the sealing cap is concave. The cover has a flexible rim around the container wall, which can be pinched to grip the container. The flexible rim has a projection to work with a complementary section of the container while the rim is distorted, to hold the cover over the container. The container has a rim, in an inverted L-shape, at least partially around the container wall, to be gripped by the pinched rim of the cover. The cover is hinged on the container, to be opened and closed with one hand. The cover has at least one tongue, working with a matching recess in the container, which is opened and closed by a vertical cover movement. The container can have an external crown, and the cover has an inner and an outer wall with the tongue at the inner wall, to work with the recess in the container crown which has two limit surfaces to define the cover opening action. The cover has a function claw to assist in opening. The housing has an individual sealing cap. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an assembly of sterile housings held on a strip. Each housing is secured to the strip at the sealing zone, and the strip forms the sealing cap for each housing; and (2) a distributor, with a strip storage magazine, a strip drive, a unit to separate a housing from the strip and at least one plate to take the separated housings.
