PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a shadow from being formed on an image by attaining control to move a photographing direction within a photographing permissible range. SOLUTION: The image pickup system is provided with a camera, a universal head to move a photographing direction of the camera, a photographing direction detection means 4, 6 that detect the photographing direction of the camera, an operation control range memory means 8 that stores information of an operation control range set properly, and an arithmetic control means 10 that calculates the photographing permissible range of the basis of the information of the operation control range and attains control to move the photographing direction within the photographing permissible range. Thus, it is possible to avoid a shade from being formed on an image by preventing an obstacle from entering the photographing range. |
