PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density decrease by increasing, in an area where the density decrease is caused, an development electric field which exerts effect on an amount of toner attachment. SOLUTION: By this method, an image density decrease is corrected in an image forming device which renders a latent image, formed on an electrostatic- latent-image carrier 1, visible with two-component developer, composed of toner and carrier, and transfers and fixes the visible developed-image. In the case, a reference patch is formed on the electrostatic-latent-image carrier 1 and developed, and an amount of decrease in the density of the end of the developed image in the direction of the rotation of the electrostatic-latent-image carrier 1 is detected by a detector 10 which is opposite the carrier 1. Image signals for writing the electrostatic latent image are selectively modulated based on the result of the detection, image density decrease positional information, and an image signal from the reference patch. |
