PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize total energy by compensating the low refrigerating efficiency of a super conducting coil. SOLUTION: A super conducting electric power storage system stores electric energy as the stored energy of a superconducting coil 2 through a power converter 8 and inputs and outputs the stored energy as electric energy. The system is constituted so that the coil 2 can be cooled directly or indirectly by the evaporation latent heat of a liquefied natural gas when the coil 2 is operated. |
