NOVEL PROTEASE SEPARATED FROM PERISERRULA LEUCOPHRYNA

PURPOSE: A novel protease separated from Periserrula leucophryna is provided, which maintains its activity under extreme physical and chemical condition, so which is useful for thrombolysis agents, and detergents for clothes or contact lens, and which is also useful in treating organic wastes or processing foods, feed-stuffs, natural leather, fabric and the like. CONSTITUTION: A new protease (MW 28kDa-30kDa) separated from Periserrula leucophryna is characterized by comprising a fibrinolytic activity. A separation and purification method of protease comprises the following steps: (i)preparing a crude extract from Periserrula leucophryna; (ii)purifying the crude extract with ammonium sulfate precipitation method; (iii)purifying 30-80% of ammonium sulfate active fraction in step(ii) by using various column chromatographies.
