PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a case into a strong structure while reducing the size and weight thereof. SOLUTION: In this battery pack, a plurality of secondary batteries 1 are housed in a plastic inner case 3 to form an inner pack 4, and housed in a plastic outer case 5 by covering and reinforcing both side surfaces of the inner pack 4 with metal chassis 16. The inner case 3 is divided into upper and lower case units 3A by dividing side plates 3d. The metal chassis 16 are two metal plates covering both the side surfaces of the inner pack 4 and have a cross-sectional shape formed into a U-shaped form; and connection pieces 33 connected to a top plate 3a and a bottom plate 3b of the case units 3A in a lock structure are protrusively formed on the upper and lower edges thereof. In the battery pack, by connecting the connection pieces 33 of the metal chassis 16 to the top plate 3a and the bottom plate 3b of the case units 3A, the metal chassis 16 are connected to the inner pack 4, and the upper and lower case units 3A are connected to each other by the metal chassis 16.
