摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device capable of improving the display quality by preventing spacer particles from moving out of a predetermined arrangement region due to the flow of a liquid crystal. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device includes: a spacer arrangement step of arranging spacer particles 41 for regulating a gap between a pair of substrates in a spacer arrangement region SA on one of the pair of substrates; a liquid crystal application step of applying a liquid crystal LC in such a manner that, when discharging and applying the liquid crystal LC as droplets to an image display region of one of the pair of substrates, the liquid crystal LC is applied to enclose the spacer arrangement region SA, thereby to form a liquid crystal non-application region NA including the spacer arrangement region SA and the liquid crystal LC not applied; and a substrate bonding step of allowing the pair of substrates to face each other and laminating the substrates with a sealing material.
