PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method of a glass plate excellent in dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION: A cutting method of a glass plate includes a step for forming scribe lines 31 and 32 on an upper face 11 and a lower face 12 of a glass plate 10 respectively by scanning a laser beam 20 while penetrating the laser beam 20 from the upper face 11 to the lower face 12. The beam widths of the scanning laser beam 20 on the upper face 11 and the lower face 12 are each less than the thickness of the glass plate 10. The scribe line 31 formed on the upper face 11 and the scribe line 32 formed on the lower face 12 are combined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
