摘要 Without reductions in refractive index anisotropy (Δn) and nematic phase-isotropic liquid phase transition temperature (Tni), the liquid crystal composition has sufficiently low solid phase-nematic phase transition temperature (Tcn), sufficiently small viscosity (η), sufficiently small rotational viscosity (γ1), a large elastic constant (K33), and negative dielectric anisotropy (Δ∈) with a large absolute value. The liquid crystal composition contains a first component that is a compound represented by Formula (N2), a second component that is at least one compound represented by General Formula (N3), and a third component that is at least one compound having a negative dielectric anisotropy (Δ∈) with an absolute value of greater than three. There is also provided a liquid crystal display device using such a liquid crystal composition.
